Course Description
Paramedic practice is a broad field of expertise, requiring the practitioner to be proficient in a wide range of professional activities. This course introduces students to the profession of Paramedicine, history of the profession, job description, and structure of the profession. This topic introduces the concepts of paramedic practice and the roles expected of paramedics as clinicians. This unit will explore the principles and practice underpinning the assessment and management of clients in the pre-hospital environment and the role of paramedics in the health continuum.
