This course will seek to guide students on understanding a manager’s financial decision-making that affects the financial health and long-term success of an engineering contracting company. The students will also have a greater appreciation and understanding of the importance of risk within the context of financial decision making. The course will enrich the students’ understanding of the components that make up the financial transaction; select suitable accounting methods; appreciate the usage of different financial reports; apply different financial ratios to interpret the data in the financial report.
