Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the fundamental principles and topics of Information Technology Security and Risk Management at the organizational level. Students will learn critical security principles, polices that enable them to identify the vulnerabilities and potential threats and the likelihood of attacks, assess the risk to plan, develop, and perform security tasks.
The course will address systems resources such as hardware, software, processes, communications, applications, and policies and procedures with respect to organizational IT Security and Risk Management. Case studies will discuss the application of the concepts studied in class in a business organisational context. Students will also develop a project in which they design and implement a comprehensive security solution for a real business organisation.
