Introduction: modern analytical chemistry, chemometrics, chemometrics-based signal processing techniques, resources available on chemometrics and Wavelet transform , One-dimensional signal processing techniques in chemistry: digital smoothing and filtering methods, transformation methods of analytical signals, numerical differentiation, data compression , Two-dimensional signal processing techniques in chemistry: general features of two-dimensional data, some basic concepts for two-dimensional data from hyphenated instrumentation, double-centering for background correction, congruence analysis and least-squares fitting, differentiation methods for two-dimensional data, resolution methods for two-dimensional data , Fundamentals of Wavelet transform: introduction to Wavelet transform and Wavelet Packet transform, Wavelet function examples, Fast Wavelet algorithm and packet algorithm, biorthogonal Wavelet transform, two-dimensional Wavelet transform , Application of Wavelet transform in chemistry: data compression, data denoising and smoothing, baseline/background removal, resolution enhancement, combined techniques, an overview of the applications in chemistry.
