Course Main Objective
To identify the true concept of children’s literature, features of the children-centered literary text in order to take as a basis for text evalution.

- 2.1 Evaluate the children-centered literary text according to the artistic characteristics of literary genres observing age grades adequate for each literary text.

- 3.1 Assume individual, collective and leading responsibility upon performing the required literary assignments.
- 3.2 Observe the scientific integrity in performing her assignments achieving traits of the responsible citizen.

2. The concept of children's literature and its conditions and literary forms, difference between it and the other literary forms (literary and non-literary that may overlap with) through applying to texts.
3. Stages of child's literature development:
4. In ancient societies and civilizations.
5. In Arabic heritage
6. Main phases of children's literature in Europe
7. In modern Arabic literature
8. In Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
9. Childhood stages and such literature adequate to each stage.
10. The infancy stage and infant songs and dances.
11. Early childhood and application to adequate songs and stories.
12. Late childhood and application to a drama.
