Content:
Study of various methods of extraction and purification of compounds. Classification of natural products.
Terpenes: General reactions for structure determination of terpenes. Structure determination of acyclic mono terpenoids, Monocyclic monoterpenes, Bicyclic monoterpenes.
Alkaloids: General structure.
determination reactions of alkaloids, Hoffman an Emed, Exhaustive methylation. Methyl phenyl amine group. Pyridine pyrimidine group, Piperidine-pyrolidine group, Quinoline group. Steroids: General structure determination reactions of steroids, Plank rule. Structural determination of Cholesterol. Sex hormones, Bile acids, Adrenal cortex hormones. Natural phenolic compounds and classifications.

Objectives:
