Course Description

This course deals with the concept of banks, their types, their role in the financial system, their founding rules, their organizational structure and divisions, and their assets and obligations. It also describes the theoretical and practical aspects of operations within banks, such as: deposit operations, bank account operations, cash fund operations, transfers operations, checks operations, electronic clearing operations, and banking facilities operations.

Course Aims

By the end of the course, the student will be able to acquire the following skills and knowledge:

• Defining the concept of banks, their types, their role in the financial system, their founding rules, their organizational structure, and their organizational divisions.
•  Clarifying the assets and liabilities of banks and the scientific and practical aspects associated with it.
• Determining the types of deposits and bank accounts, and the difference between each of them and the operations associated with them.
• Clarify the operations of treasury and cash funds in banks and the operations associated with them.
• Explaining the concept of transfers, checks, electronic clearing, and the processes associated with each of them.
• Getting to know the concept of banking facilities, their types, the processes associated with them, and the factors affecting them.
• Defining the concept and types of direct banking facilities and the operations associated with each of them.
• Defining the concept and types of indirect banking facilities and the operations associated with each of them.
