Course Description
This course is designed to study the basic concepts of accounting information systems, and how to use them, in addition to the analysis and design of accounting information systems, whether manual or automatic. This makes the student / her able to build or participate in building the accounting system capable of assembling, analyzing, processing and communicating information to serve the internal and external uses of accounting information.
Course Aims
- Identify the basic concepts that underlie the accounting information systems.
- Distinguish between the different stages of the accounting information systems cycles
- Identifying the sub-systems of the accounting information system and the operating cycles of operations
- Knowledge of the stages of planning and designing accounting information systems and how to implement, follow-up and evaluate accounting information systems
- Planning, analyzing, developing, designing and documenting accounting information systems (systems life cycle)
- Study of accounting database management systems and how to design them
- Feasibility study of the proposed alternatives for developing accounting information systems
- Knowing the methods of documenting accounting information systems.
- Study the impact of electronic data operation on accounting information systems
- Control, protection and security systems
