Rhinology division has many subdivisions, one of them is the advanced endoscopic skull base surgery, which is joined with neurosurgery team to treat complex skull base lesions.
Skull base division in king Fahd Hospital of the University is recognized as one of the leading centers in the eastern province that dedicated to the safest and most comprehensive management of skull base tumors. Our highly skilled surgeons have extensive experience in both open and minimally invasive endoscopic endonasal approach. Our multi- discipli nary approach, whichconsist of collaborations from otolaryngologist, neurosurgeons, onc ologists, radiologists and pathologists, aims toward the best outcome for the patient.We receive consultations and referrals from all parts of the eastern province, other parts of the kingdom, and adjacent countries.

Patient Care
Skull base division offers minimally invasive procedures, which uses endoscopic navigation through the nose and nasal sinuses to gain access to the cranial base and brain . Our surgeons combine their knowledge and skills to treat variety ofmedical conditions, which include but not limited to, pituitary tumors, chordoma, craniopharyngioma , skull base meningioma and meningoencephalocele. In addition to skull base reconstruction and other advanced endoscopic rhinologic and orbital/skull base pro cedures.Our clinics and operating suites are equipped with leading- edge technique, most advanced optics and computer navigation systems,which provide the best service that suits every patient’s unique needs.
Residents training
The skull base subdivision offers an exceptionally strong and unparalleled training experience for our residents. The greatest strength of our program is the outstanding and committed teaching staff, whom are full - time board certified faculty. All of whom place the excellence of the residency- training program as their highest priority.
