Overview
The Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division at KFHU provides a detailed medical and surgical evaluation, counseling and management for problems of appearance, injury and tumors.
The division is also one of the few centers in the area that provides functional and cosmetic procedures including Rhinoplasty (Functional and cosmetic), Otoplasty, scar revisions as well as many other procedures. The physicians in this division are double board certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastics, bringing a level of expertise that is not typically found outside of our institute.
Patient Care
The Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division deals with many health issues, most common being:
- Nasal deformity (internal and external)
- Nasal valve obstruction
- Congenital ear deformities
- Facial scars
Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division has a good collaboration with colleagues from oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as with our associates in the Oculoplastics and Plastic surgery to be able to provide the optimum service to our patients. As a team, approach is necessary to assist patients who have certain congenital deformities or those who may have experienced a facial trauma resulting from an accident or injury.
Functional septorhinoplaty patients will have the benefit of correcting both the problem of his nasal obstruction as well as correcting the nasal deformity in one surgical procedure. The duration of surgery is approximately 3 hours and length of stay in the hospital is 1-2 days.
