Sivakumar Paraman acquired his Bachelor degree in Architecture from School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, Chennai, India and Master degree in Landscape Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 1991 and 1993, respectively. He has a teaching and professional experience spanning almost 27 years.
After post-graduation, he worked in a private organization as an Assistant Architect for 2 years. Then, he shifted his career as an academician and worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, India for 10 years. He then moved abroad and worked as a Lecturer in Architecture in Higher college of Technology, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman for almost 8 years. He is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Landscape Architecture, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is teaching theoretical as well as Architectural Engineering and Landscape Design courses at all levels. His areas of research focus mainly on Cost effective architecture, Interior-scaping and Urban landscape design.
Sivakumar Paraman is not a person striving to attain ideals but one who believes in perfection through evolution. He is a hard worker towards orderliness in the subjects he teaches. He is a good dreamer as he believes that dreams can change the world. He likes fictions since: “Today’s fiction is tomorrow’s reality”.
