Dr. Abdulbaqui Mohammed Altaisan

Dr. Abdulbaqui M. Altaisan received his bachelor degree in Architecture and Planning from King Faisal University, Dammam Saudi Arabia, and master degree in Landscape Architecture from University of Oregon, Oregon USA, also his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in Landscape Planning from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England UK. Dr. Abdulbaqui is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Landscape Architecture Department, also he worked as Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at King Faisal University. Dr. Abdulbaqui was the Chairman of Landscape Architecture Department at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University for nine years, and Dean of Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supporting Studies for four years, also a General Supervisor for Preparatory Year Unit, King Faisal University for two years. His Research interests include landscape planning for protected areas and national parks, ecotourism and using GIS in landscape planning. He has participated in and attended more than 30 conferences inside and outside Saudi Arabia. Dr. Abdulbaqui has lectured and taught more than 10 undergraduate courses and more than 5 graduate courses in the department of Landscape Architecture at IAU. He has also worked as a part time consultant at Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture for one year.
