Course Description 

This course will extend the base established in Computer Applications I to the use of Page layout software and digital typography. Students will be introduced to page layout concepts and software as a technical base for future projects ranging from one page to multi-page documents. This course will reinforce and extend students understanding of grids and layout management through the use of tutorials and projects. Emphasis will be on the development and organization of a multipage document, the development of spreads and understanding facing pages. Core concepts covered in this class will be setting up the document, pagination, numbering and sections, grids, packaging files, and resolutions for web and print. Knowledge and comprehension will be demonstrated through tests and practical exercises.
