أ. د. خالد السيد

He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1991 and 1996 respectively in Physics. He received his Ph.D. from ODU, VA, the USA in 2002 in Electrical Engineering (while based at NASA Langley Research center). He worked for NASA Langley research center, Science and Technology Corp, Hampton University, City University of New York, USA and Cairo University. He is working now as Professor at Engineering College, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (previously, University of Dammam). He is co-founder of a laser technology center at Cairo University and a medical laser safety program in Egypt.  His research areas include Laser Research & Development (Developing, assembling and testing of prototype laser and laser lidar systems), Laser spectroscopy, laser interaction with matter, Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy and its application, and Nanotechnology.
